Titled The King and The Commissioner new film portrays the charecters Thevallypparambil Joseph Alex IAS by Mammootty of ' The King' and Bharath Chandran IPS by Suresh Gopi of Commissioner, started yesterday.
The movie will see director Shaji Kailas and scriptwriter Renji Panicker joining hands after a gap of 16 years. This time the script write features national politics as the film theme.The duo of Shaji Kailas and Renji Panicker gifted malayalm film industry with many super hit films starting from their first project Dr Pasupathi, therafter Thalasthanam, Sthalathe Pradhana Payyans, Ekalavyan, Commissioner and The King.
The King and The Commissioner First Preview
The film has planned as political thriller action film New Delhi as Backdrop. As the all other hit film from the duo this film will have the political remarks and sharp rough dialogues from the heroes.Joseph Alex (Mammooty) who was presented as the District Collector of Kozhikode in the movie ‘The King,’ will be shown as a top official with the Central Government in the new release. Bharathchandran(Suresh Gopi) of Commissioner is now the Commissioner of Delhi City Police.The film The King and The Commissioner has already started the shooting and it is expected that the film will hit the theatres during the Ramzan Festival. The film is produced by Mammooty's friend Anto Joseph and will be exhibited by Mammootty's own Play House.
Along with these supers stars the movie will have Samvrtha Sunil, Vijayaraghvan, Janardanen, Jagthi Sri Kumar, Devan, Salim Kuma in notebale roles. Also the source says that Giressh Karnad will play the villain role in the film.
